About Us

Here’s some free advice.

A productive lawyer-client relationship improves outcomes and reduces stress. A dysfunctional relationship does the opposite. So don’t hire a lawyer who sugarcoats problems, or dabbles in complex areas he doesn’t fully understand, or presents endless options but no real advice. Find a lawyer—whether it’s us or someone else—who has the right experience, someone you like, someone who understands and adapts to your priorities.

That last point, adapting to our clients’ priorities, is an article of faith with us. Lawyers with a fixed persona—the fighter, the dealmaker, the showman, etc.—hobble themselves and disserve their clients. The most effective lawyers attack each situation with whatever the situation requires. Some cases depend on diplomacy or scholarship. Others are a brawl from start to finish. We pride ourselves on navigating every environment in the way that best serves our clients’ priorities.

And then there’s the question of cost. When you’re fighting for your most precious rights and possessions, you want a good lawyer in your corner, and good lawyers aren’t cheap. But you shouldn’t need to empty your bank account to obtain quality representation. We encourage clients to ask about alternative billing arrangements and cost-conscious approaches to litigation. Frank fee discussions allow our clients to understand their options and decide whether they’re getting good value.

If you think we might be the right lawyers for you, give us a call or send us an email and let’s talk. If it turns out that we’re not a good fit, we can probably point you in the right direction.
